I have no idea how I missed this thread, but it's now Sunday morning after a rip snorter of a BBQ at my friends' place.
Pass the black coffee please.
I think I left my Bianca Nygard in the cab, and do hope I paid the driver...
Regarding the BBQ, I'm pretty sure I recall that "BBQ" means bring your own something-something for the grill, right?
This one was weird. Mostly booze, and I was the only one who brought my own (pre-cooked because I hate waiting, organic because that's how I roll) wings.
The hosts threw down lots of grub and some bargain basement wingage from Costco, but the grill didn't get fired up. WTF is that?
God love them it was a great party though.
And everybody was eyeballing my plate...

Uh howdy ladies and germs, mind if I join you? It's not that late here in California, acutally, just a wee bit early. I need something stiff to tell you the truth, how about some bourbon. Geez. I had to buy a new computer today, the laptop I got back in Febrary won't boot and the nice lady at tech support said it would be three days before a supervisor called me back about returning the brick to its country of origin.
I also need something stiff. I wonder if firehouse guy is still up, maybe I should call him.

Oh my feet. That was quite a hike. And my knee... dammit why do I keep tripping on roots. Raspberry central there.
I suspect I'm not laboring today despite best intentions. How about a little Denogginizer instead?
VERY YUMMY although a 22 oz bottle goes a little too far.

Leaving work and heading to see Sam. He/She says that they just got a new scotch in stock that will blow me away. We'll see. O'Stereotypes doesn't have the best selection.

1st day back at work after vacation. I have no idea what they have done in the name of doing my job for me. Most of it is back to normal but I still have some catching up and organizing to go. Good thing I can come here to O'Stereotypes and forget about my day. By the way DD, I listed the 3 people. Still waiting for you to develop their stories.

O'Stereotypes is so slow here at night on the left coast. I think Sam must commute from New England or something.
Whattup J-Razz? Forged, howyabeen? F-Foolah you look hella tight holding that plate of wings. IrishLass glad to see there wasn't too much Irish in your weekend and you made it to Monday.
And Oh D-Daddy, tell us a story, c'mon.
I'm designated powerpointer tonight so I'll take a ginger ale. Not my favorite kind of ale but a girl's gotta present to the city council tomorrow so this slideshow better be good.

Whoa! Sam said that the scotch would blow me away, and did it ever!
IrishLass, I saw these three and chatted with them for awhile - holy cow are they interesting.
1. A police Officer - to eye the crowd and make sure no one is getting too unruly (I believe he has a secret crush on Sam/Samantha)
He/She goes by Alex (Alexis during the day and Alexander at night). He/She is good friends with Sam and has been for sometime, but Sam is pissed that Alex has not made a move, so Sam tried to make Alex jealous (see below). Alex was still wearing his/her uniform and got some low-grade gin in his/her system...lethal combination. Alex started issuing tickets to bar stools and handcuffing beer steins to folks' arms. He would yell out that everyone was screwed because of a 1013 in progress, happening in the *Undecidedz* bathroom. However, it was just code for Sam to meet him/her in the Undecidedz at 10:13 pm. He then passed out in a booth in the corner.
2. A brand new 21 year old - first time bar hopping and celebrating the big day.
This fella, John, was hurting by the time I got to him. He had been doing shots of *Three Wise Men* all night - which is a combo of Jack, Jim and Jose. He was an Amish farmer, with four children already, but decided to do his Rumspringa later in life, because he was unable to do it at age 16. He had two women on his lap, or so he thought, cuz one of them was Sam. I told him about Sam, he paused for a second, and then said - "Hey the more the merrier." Then Forged1 showed up and John's party really got started! Forged what did y'all talk about?
3. A writer suffering from writer's block so she is here to find inspiration.
Her name is Shelly and she is writing a book on the underground world of hamster smuggling. It's fiction, but based on actual events of her life. She got involved with a Canadian named Juan Pierre [from Quebec of course], who wined and dined her. She crossed the border with a duffel bag full of hamster pelts. Later she came to find out that he brainwashed her to believe that hamsters were on the rise in the world of fur trading - which was a huge conflict with her because she was an active card-carrying member of PETA. She then told me that she didn't know where she was going to go from there. IrishLass - I saw her come talk to you after me and y'all were chatting it up for awhile. Any updates on her deal?
And Oh D-Daddy, tell us a story, c'mon.
I'll see if I can get anymore stories tonight when I get to the bar!
Man this place is great, isn't it?

Shelly was caught and arrested by Alex/Alexis and he/she sent Shelly on the path to redemption after the hamster smuggling incident. She cut a deal and she had to change her name to avoid being found by the hamster mafia. She has never spoken to Juan Pierre again but she thinks that "John" looks a little familiar.
