It's going to be 70 here today, and all hell breaking loose tomorrow. With pretty much any type of precipitation you can imagine, minus Hail. The of course it's going to get super duper cold, with lows in the single digits.
GRRRRRR. I hate the cold, I hate winter, and I have NO firewood. This is a serious problem....
How am I supposed to stay home from work, and enjoy a snow day if there is no fire in the fireplace????

Welcome to eastern Ontario!
I hate winter!
Can't wait for our annual two week break to sunny Negril.
View from my dining room window. Thankfully, I'm inside.
Views from INSIDE the sunroom (yeah, that's a laughable description of this part of the house)
...but it is pretty....from the inside looking out!

In Tucson, I used to turn the heat on in my car when the temps got down to 70.
Now that I've moved here, I've been wearing a down coat since early November--and getting looked at like an idiot
So last night I wore a wool blazer to work--and froze my ass off when I left at 12:30am. I'm back to the down coat

This is what I came home to yesterday. Freezing snow made the road up to our house troublesome for the smaller cars. Here, a truck went around a small, slipping car only to get his own damn self stuck!!!

Thanks for the pics, LF. It looks pretty much the same here except it is still snowing. 16 inches on the ground already and now it's alternating snow and ice balls and sleet. Ole man winter is roaring around here. They're talking 2-3 feet of the stuff on the north shore of Minnesota before this storm passes. The skiers (Nordic and downhill) are in heaven. Nothing like starting December with a bang!

It's freezin' ass cold up here in Seattle!!
And we already have our first trace of snow.
I have to drive over the pass tomorrow, and of course, a snow storm is predicted. Happens every time I have to go over!
In these parts it's the wet roads that are so dangerous. they stay wet for, well, like always, and that just keeps refreezing.

No snow here---yet.
It's 59 right now at 5:00am. Tomorrow is going to be a different story though with a high of about 30 and windy as hell. Snow can't be too far behind.

Those snow pix are utterly gorgeous!
But, no, I'll gladly take the mid-50's we currently have. I have no doubt that in 6 weeks, we'll be wading thru 2+ feet of snow.

Love the pics of the snow. It just looks so pristine and peacefull when it falls on each tiny branch. So fluffy.
The driveway pic looks like the heavy wet nasty snow that's a pain to shovel.
