Well, nutz, nutz, triple nutz! I have chemo scheduled for the 16th so my chances of getting out to any of these g-2-g's are slim to none
However, If any of y'all that are in town have a free minute anytime during the weekend, I'd love it if you wanted to drop by the casa and visit w/me!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to miss this one.
We were supposed to implement a system this weekend and it didn't happen so it will happen over the next few weeks, which means no trip for persevere.
Have fun!!! And I'm in for March in Houston!!!

I don't know about the whole weekend itinerary but WOES and I are still inviting everyone over to our place for food and drinks on Friday night. There'll be plenty of food and we've got plenty of room so come one, come all. Shall we say 5:30-6ish Friday night? We live just 10 min or so down the road from the hotel. Ok maybe a little longer with Friday traffic...
To make it easier to get the directions out, if everyone who would like to attend could just send a PM my way I'll reply back with directions. Also, if we can't get enough carpools (or if people would like to be free to imbibe) I would be happy to swing on by with the minivan and shuttle up to 7 people back and forth. Yeah designated driver!
Just drop me a PM folks, looking forward to seeing everyone.
I'm so excited!

Yes! That's pretty much it just in different locations, lol. Here is a basic run down of the itinerary. Details need to be worked out as far as times, vehicles, etc. but we can work some of that out as we go.
Friday Night: HT and WOES place for a meet and greet. Good food, drinks, good company.
Saturday: on your own for breakfast. Then off to the State Fair for fried foods and entertainment! Later that evening we will be meeting again for fun and drinks in a nearby town center.
Sunday: we can all meet for brunch before people start heading out their separate ways.
For those of you flying in, there is a shuttle that will get you from the airport to the hotel. The hotel also provides shuttles to and from the town center. I'm not sure how late they run but we can always help with getting people where they need to go. I'm still a mini van drivin' mama!
Also, I know a lot of people were saying they would like to drive to the fair. We have been hearing how bad parking is there. HT found a shuttle service that will run about 17 dollars a person. It can take up to 10 people. But we would need to know soon. This is the last weekend of the fair and I expect it will be pretty crowded. If we get enough people interested we can try to arrange that.
For those wanting to meet up with us at different events, please keep in touch with us via PM so we can make sure you don't miss out. I know some people had mentioned just meeting up with us Saturday night. We can let you know the exact times and places through PM.
I'm so excited to see everyone again! Just 5 more days! I better start cleaning! And baking!
You guys will all be here before I know it!

I'm pretty much "in" for the shuttle, being relatively new (again!) to this area, I DO know the hwys are a spaghetti new construction nightmare near 183, so I want to avoid that particular mess...
<<<<Advance scout indeed! I already found my *home* at "World of (guess - that's right!) BEER" on S. Cooper in Arlington, & yes! they have Big Bark from Live Oak Brewery in Austin - WOOHOO! Along with @ 5 kabillion other micros, yum! In fact, they installed some new taps from Kentucky (baybee!) last March during the Final Four (held at Jerry's house), WITH the brewmasters from Kentucky who just...took over the place - haha, and they've got one that spends some time during the brewing process in a bourbon cask, so it has a nice Kentucky side-taste, if you kwim - just yums!
Me & mos are definitely checking it out Thurs, & if anyone here wants to join up - we're good! Moo - you too, you'd like it!
We're free Friday too, so lemme know what yer up to - & we'll mosey on over!

Yes, last he time he checked. At the time he checked it was 170 dollars round trip for a shuttle can that holds 10 people. He can check into it again if we have enough interested people.

Do you know if we can take it at any time or are we locked into certain pick up and drop off time slots?
Thanks for doing all this work!!!

HT is going to check into it again tomorrow. It will be set pick up and drop off times. We were thinking it could pick us up from the hotel about 9:30ish and then pick us from the fair about 5:30ish. Let is know what times sound good to you. I'm not sure how long people were planning on staying. Nothing is set in stone yet so if you have suggestions now is the time!
