Sending healing thoughts. Im sorry you are going through this but how lucky for your friend to have you there for her.

tushnurse posted 1/1/2020 16:00 PM

Thank you all for the prayers and kind words.
Drgn -surgery was about 6 hours. The mass they got out was 7x10 cm. Unfortunately they were unable to remove it all due to ot being in blood vessels.
He is recovering well but chemo is for sure in this young man's future.
My friend is amazingly strong and being as brave as she can. Should know more tomorrow.
Keep them in your thoughts and prayers please!!!

Thank you Tush for the update. It was on my mind all night.

As smy said

problems here amount to small potatoes compared to a mom and dad watching their child fight for their life.

Sat there looking at all my kids thinking damn I'm lucky.

Praying. And sending mojo and all other means of healing positive energy to this young man.

To those following he did get to go home from the hospital yesterday afternoon.
I have not heard from my friend yet this morning, and I am hoping to heck that means they are all getting some good sleep, because she was wiped out yesterday afternoon.

Now he heals, and we await the Pathology report to determine next steps. However they were told yesterday that there will be some form of radiation therapy, I suspect chemo as well.

Continued prayers mean a lot.
Thank you ALL!!!!

DragnHeart posted 1/3/2020 09:07 AM

Thank you for the update.

Wow I didn't expect he would go home so soon. That's good. And yes prayers they are all resting well.

Will continue with sending all I can.

ZenMumWalking posted 1/3/2020 14:32 PM

Thanks for this update TN, and more mojo to the whole family for a positive treatment outcome.

Thinking of your friend and the family.

Lionne posted 1/8/2020 06:58 AM

Baby steps. Sending light and love his way.
I wonder if proton therapy would be an option to reduce extra cellular damage.
Thanks for the update.

tushnurse posted 1/8/2020 07:31 AM

For those following....
Pathology came back. He has an extremely odd form of malignancy, in fact so that the numbers of people with it in the last 50 years is under that number.
They are sending path results to the leader in the treatment of this in the US, and awaiting their read on this, and then will probably travel there for treatment plan, and intiation of treatment, but the outcome from this weird cancer often leads to death within 2-4 years from date of diagnosis. And if/when chemo is effective it is a bastard to survive.
So continued prayers, support, mojo, and positive thoughts are appreciated. My friend is amazing me with her strength, and positive outlook.

Hoping/praying for the best outcome. I can't imagine. ((((TN, friend, son))))
