I feel silly, I reread favorite romances. When I was a child I escaped into reading to stay calm. My mother learned to shove a book at me to have me cope. My go to calm book is ransom by Julie Harwood. My other faves are just the sexiest my alive by Julie James. My latest is lady luck by Kristin Higgins.

Otherwise I love James Patterson serial killer books and the Jack Ryan hooks. What a contrast serial killers and romance.

Not to be forgotten is early Steven king.

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley

and my all time favorite and read many, many times:

River God by Wilbur Smith

If you have any interest in ancient Egypt, I cannot recommend this book enough. Its sequel The Seventh Scroll is also terrific.

OMG Gypsy, how did I forget "Mists" and the "River God" series?!!

LOVE those books!!!

Anything by Stephen King.

And Gone With The Wind. The relationship stuff resonates much more as an adult (I read it for the first time when I was 10). Scarlett needed IC DESPERATELY.

For chick lit that's well written, Marian Keyes.

Oh, and the In Death series by JD Robb (Nora Roberts).

Anyone a Jane Austen fan?

I can never get enough of Pride and Prejudice or any of her other novels. I also love reading continuing stories that other authors have done with the same characters. Mr. Darcy's Daughters, Death Comes to Pemberley, etc.

I'm the same with all the movies. Play. Repeat. Play. Though after DDay I'm having a hard time with love...

Janet Ivonovich's books, those are always fun.

Unbroken, I've read it too many times to count.

The Stand - Once every 10 years or so.

Then when the kids read some of the classics for school I will read them too so we can discuss...

To Kill a Mockingbird

Catcher in the Rye

The Giver

Lord of the Flies

Gatsby
