I know what it's like when everyone is gone, the casserole stop coming, and you are able to decompress and process. Letting you know that you are not alone in those moments. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a long time to come. Continued strength and courage sent your way.

Do be vigilant, sweetie, because in my experience, we hold ourselves together while we need to, then when the immediate mega-stressors are done, our brains give us permission to fall apart. If you find that happening (trouble sleeping, constant sadness and weeping, loss of interest in normal activities), make sure you go see your doctor and ask for help. I know whereof I speak. Do it sooner rather than later, too. (((Phoenix)))

You have held it together for so long. I am not sure that there a lot of people who can go thru, what you have been thru, and still show such amazing grace.

Saw some more pics of DS. His smile just lights up a room!

Sending you hugs, prayers and strength for today. (there is so much more from where that comes from )

Take care, rest and the rest of the world be damned.

Well, I certainly have nothing to say other than to 'amen' what has already been said.

I do want to add that I went online to try to find out about the search at the first of your thread. And then, when your son was found, there was a picture of him online.

What an amazingly beautiful young man!

I will be thinking of you every day!

Sending prayers for today that you can start to decompress.

You, and your family will be in my thoughts every day for a long time. Sometimes people just stay with you.

I wish the right words would have come into my brain by now, but not yet.

So just sayin' what an amazing woman you are!!

Be careful of yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be gentle to yourself. You are worth all of that care and more. Please keep reaching out for support, to vent, to cry. We may not be there in the flesh, but I hope you can feel us reaching out to you. (((hugs)))

My heart just seems to get heavier. Was just told by my nieces that bro and SIL's memorial service is scheduled for this Saturday in WA....Saturday would have been DS's 21st birthday. I am planning to fly there and back in the same day (it's a 3.25 hr flt), and hopefully drive out to see the memorial the soldiers constructed at the site in the mountains where he was found. I want to leave 21 red roses there for his birthday. It is going to be yet another horrific day of emotional agony. It just seems to never end...

ETA: Just chatted with DS's BF. He is going to meet me in WA to go to bro's memorial and take me to DS's memorial in the mountains. Because I did not walk to the spot where DS was found I don't know exactly where it is because it is a ways off a regular trail in thick woods, and his BF does.
