I haven't thrown up since May of 1986
Well...that must have been quite the event for you to be able to remember the month and year 32 years on!
Sending good thoughts. Those few that I know of having gone through this are pretty much thriving.

Dude, sorry to have missed this (I was on vacation last week). I'm very sorry and I wish you nothing but the best.
Want to know the funny thing? I'm more afraid of throwing up than I am of the cancer. I haven't thrown up since May of 1986 and it terrifies me. Sincerely. So hoping for no chemo. :-)
I'm the same way, dude. I haven't thrown up since Oct 1988.
I should take you out for a beer since neither of us drink. I can get you some weed, though, if the chemo is really bad.

I am late to this, too. Sending all the positive thoughts and prayers your way that I can.
I also hear your throwing up concern. I haven't "tossed my cookies" since 1994, not sure of the month, although it was warm out. It only happened then because I had too much vodka.
Anyway, just with everything else, take it one day at a time.

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I'm glad that you went for your check up and that your treatment plan is already in place.
Please look after yourself, eat well (plenty of vitamin D rich foods to aid healing) and get plenty of rest between now and the 2nd.

Just went through this with my H - obviously we were terrified. But he got himself healthy before the surgery (lost 30 lbs).
He was in the hospital for one week, five weeks recovery at home and he's been back to work for three weeks now and is doing great!
The doctors and nurses got my H through it and Tushnurse got me through it!!
It's scary, but you will get through it - you will be in my thoughts!
