Damn, I didn't even know there was a bus - I suspect I have been DRIVING the damn thing, I've been on it so long! Is there a log somewhere for how long you've been on the bus?
I definitely want off this friggin bus...hell, at this point, I might even accept a transfer to a bus going the other way!
Sigh - well at least I have company now!

TS68...the same thought hit me! Once you're off doesn't mean you stay off!!! So focused on getting off I forgot that was a possibility!

Welcome back, EvenKeel!
If I get ever step foot off this bus, I hope I'm not back for awhile. For the time being though, I don't know as though I'm going anywhere.

What if when I (or any of you) get *off*, you do it in grand style. Can you save it all up to stay off longer? Like poker chips, or get out of jail free cards? Am I making any sense?
You do make sense but I do not think that adjusts the time requirements any (judges?).
My first bus stop after the D was very "grand" indeed. Think ripped sheets and dehydration for THREE days...yes THREE.
Good news is I don't find it nearly as daunting to hop back on the bus. It is like once you know the possibilities are out there, you are more tolerant to hanging out here and enjoying the company.
PLUS - it is better for my health here. I never-ever got dehydrated on the bus.

You should probably send better representation than Peter Griffen and Al Bundy, JM.
I love poker, been playing since MoneyMaker made it cool in 2003, so I bypassed your little signs and would appreciate you cashing me in, thanks.

Fine, fine. Since this is the Knight Bus from Harry Potter, I've requested a Ladies Card Room, and it's being built in the third floor.
Any ladies feel like playin? Hold em? Canasta? Draw? Rummy Royal? Loser has to grab the next round (from the fridge in the men's poker room).

I asked and was told, fraternizing with the opposite sex is against the rules on this bus.
Yeah, let's stick a bunch of horny, sex-starved men and women on the same bus, and make sure they don't interact.
What's the worst that could happen?

I didn't think joining the poker table was "fraternizing," sorry.
Perhaps the poker table does have a negative connotation to it. But I behaved myself for years when I played in casinos and home games.
Your WW should probably learn how to behave herself. I'm sure women in general are making you mad.
But I've never had a problem being platonic with men. Most of my friends are guys actually. Not all chicks are going to be as inappropriate as your stbx, but sorry if it struck a nerve.

Lol, it didn't strike a nerve BFG, I was just joking.
I didn't realize women knew how to play poker, so it's a learning process for all of us I guess....😐

Bfg... With all due respect, this has all been a long running joke. I've been trying to break into the guys room for weeks now...
I don't think anyone is bringing chips on their shoulders from their divorces on the bus... Many of us are way beyond that.
I don't know how to play poker, so maybe you can teach me?

Oh good.
I'll have to read more pages of this thread cause it's been awhile.
The "no women" pics had me cracking up, and I had to say something.
And no, there's no way I'm teaching you how to play poker. A magician never reveals her secrets.

I wanted to bring a poker table on this thing and the women made a mockery of it -

I don't like poker or knitting. I'll be in the third story library/wine bar reading, in my usual anti-social way, thus ensuring I never get off this bus.

Halk: it doesn't matter if you are antisocial or not, my strategy of getting all of us off (with the exception of the stubborn JM) isn't working.
I think most people secretly like it here.
I'm getting off, god dammit by the end of next month, one way or another.
