I just received a frantic text from a friend worried about me. I told her I was safely tucked away at the other end of the state.

Just heard there was a third explosion at the JFK Library; don't know if this was the 'controlled explosion' by the bomb squad.

There has been a request for blood donations if you are in that area.

Sounds as if they may have collected devices that didn't explode - that will help to confirm the origin.

I was wondering if the bomber may have been injured. It would be good if he was one of the ones that died.

I appreciate the news coverage I've seen so far inserting repeated reminders that so much of the initial information we have and/or will hear ends up being inaccurate.

Hope people are able to keep their wits about them and give officials time to do their jobs without making them more difficult.

It would be good if he was one of the ones that died.

They'll get more info from a live perpetrator.

Cell service in metro Boston switched off to disallow remote detonation of other devices (if any).

I had two friends running, both had crossed the finish line before this happened and have reported in safe.

I was just looking through the pics and they showed a little boy in a wheelchair with an injured leg.

Why do people do crap like this? I just can't understand.

Be vigilant, in your own cities, be vigilant.

It was something we learned in Britain during the years of IRA bombings.
