Those of us in the frozen sections of North America are quite envious of those in the sunny south, unless you REALLY REALLY love winter!
So....here is a reminder of winter's escape....in 47 days!!
...and it's bloody cold here!!! Snowing, too.

It was 81° here around 1pm...
It is now 70° and raining...
Tomorrow's highs should be 55°
But it's still way better than piles of snow and ice and wind chill.

@ jo2love:
-20C = -4F
Formula for Conversion:
°C x 9/5 + 32 = °F
(°F - 32) x 5/9 = °C

That picture makes me weepy. I just got back from Florida 2 weeks ago and it might as well have been 2 years ago. I am done with this weather.

The snow is a pain, but it's the damn cold that I HATE! Does anyone else feel like the older you get, the more you dislike cold? Hell I'm only 53, but the time I'm 73 (Lord willin) I won't be able to leave my house between November and May.
I would leave the great Midwest for warmer climate in a heartbeat if I could take my family and friends with me.

I ended up extending my Christmas Break, by taking PTO today. The roads were horrible and I have an hour drive...just not worth it and I earn almost one day of PTO per two weeks, so I will accrue those days quickly
I may do the same tomorrow, if the roads aren't good...Monday is supposed to be bad, again, so I may end up extending it out even further

Yep. Cold and windy here with snow still coming down.
On the bright side, I have a new and efficient furnace, a 4wd vehicle, a neighbor that plows, a heated mattress pad, and 4 corgis that love to snuggle.
Now that I'm in for the night, it sure is gorgeous out there.

It's so cold that I just let the dog out to pee and instead of going down the stairs to the yard like he does every single time, he picked a patch of snow on the deck, peed, and ran back inside.

Cold, windy, snowed on and off since NYE, dead battery in a car that has to be moved or risk towing charge and big fine.
Got it moved on time, though, thanks to AAA. Whew!!!
