Rest and recover. Sorry it was such a crappy day. You are one step closer.

Very quickly you guys, because I am exhausted. My. Attorney. Is. A. Pitbull.

She slaughtered WH today. It was like that scene in Rocky IV when the final fight starts to turn and Drago puts his arms up, and Rocky just keeps coming.

She was professional and organized and knowledgeable and fierce, and even had WH's douche high powered attorney cowering.

WH admitted to all sorts of things. Some of it was difficult to hear, but only mildly...ahh...the passage of time and healing. I think he admitted to everything because he did not know until yesterday that I had his infidelity evidence on dozens of PDF's that I literally took photographs of on D-Day. I think he would have denied otherwise. Guys, this was over five years ago. I'm so glad I took and kept those photos. He admitted to using marital funds to conduct his affairs, and that he used cash in order to not get caught. He admitted there were so many women he couldn't remember all of their names. Now naturally we will not have receipts for any of this, but I do have dissipation of marital assets in my petition... So we will see what the judge thinks if it comes down to trial. I've been waiting five years for him to get called out like this. Hell...over 20 really. The best part was when after admitting to all of this, he tried to blame shift and say I was emotionally abusive and we never had sex.. But it was weak at best. He had already dug his deep hole and was standing in it.

Anyway, I think this put us in a good position to possibly settle without a trial. She has him afraid of so many things, including criminal things. His lawyer actually advised him to invoke the fifth amendment in the midst of our deposition. And he did. About three or four times.

This is getting longer than I intended. Bedtime for me. Goodnight y'all!

Wow - got chills reading this thread. Douche-bag ex is getting his comeuppance - had to invoke the fifth - priceless!

Holy shit, that was an awesome thing to read.
Wow. I'm speechless.
Way to go. You are kicking ass.

Ahhhhh, the sweet smell of karma burning freely in the lawyer's office.

That's wonderful news. Good to see him sweat a little bit, finally. At last some consequences. Great that you saved the incriminating stuff. Others should take note. Documenting matters. "I'm sorry but I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that it will reveal I am a blatant liar, cheat, abuser and a giant waste of oxygen usage." Well done.

Nice update, Bleep. and a great reminder for us to tell folks in JFO to document document document.

Depositions can be so draining, so exciting, so revealing, so expensive but soooo worth it. My attorney kicked me under the table for regressing into my co-dependent version, trying to help out the X during his depo. But I paid a lot for his all-day deposition and paid for my own copy. AND deposed his girl friend too! That one was more thrilling for my attorney than me, he said he had never deposed someone so bold & un-remorseful. I have my printed copy of that one too! She didn't like what she revealed vs what we had so she took me to court to prevent my access to some of her records.

I guess my own deposition was boring as they never had it typed up or have me sign it. I remember his attorney accuse me of failing to list a long arm quilting sewing machine among the ones I did own. I didn't have one, he wouldn't know what it was to tell he I had one. Later I realized one of my quilts was on display at library near her office so she must have assumed I used a long arm. X died this summer and I got a nice chunk of life insurance. Guess what I bought last week? A long arm sewing machine! Wondered if I should send his old attorney a birth annoucement for it?

Some day... it will just be a story that you tell. (pretty painful as you are living it!)
